"Power Tools for Pastors"

Feel free to forward this to a friend!

A Word from Bill

Church growth and health people tell us that 60–75% attendance at small groups is a good healthy percentage.

My ministry coach actually says that a higher percentage is possible. But whatever the case may be, if you get more than a handful of groups operating, it becomes a bit tricky to keep track of them all. Who is in which group?

What is each group studying?

How long has it been since a certain person missed a group? How can I communicate quickly to all of my small group leaders at once?

All of these questions can be answered by "Shepherd Care Small Group Software", our Software Feature for this month.

Check it out.

This past week, I just finished up a brand new mini-series at our church called, "Jesus and His Broken Followers".

It is a study of Luke 5 and Luke 7.

It has a powerful message of encouragement for the broken–hearted, and a word of challenge to the self-righteous.

Check it out in the "Sermons" section."

CHURCH GROWTH FACTOIDS

CHURCH GROWTH FACTOIDS:

Take a look at these two Factoids

Factoid #1: “The pastors in 26 percent of growing churches said that they were pacesetters to a very great extent, as compared to only 10 percent of the pastors in plateaued churches and 7 percent of the pastors of declining churches.” Source: ("Church Growth Principles", C. Kirk Hadaway, Nashville: Broadman Press, 1991, p. 84.)

Factoid #2: “Peter Wagner's statement, in America, the primary catalytic factor for church growth in a local church is the pastor. Lyle Schaller notes, pastoral leadership is a critical factor in church growth."” Source: ("Church Growth Principles", C. Kirk Hadaway, Nashville: Broadman Press, 1991, p. 74.)

These and other Factoids can be found at ChurchGrowth Factoids
