"Power Tools for Pastors"

Feel free to forward this to a friend!

A Word from Bill

Dear Pastor,

With the title of 'pastor' comes another title, automatically; it's called "Leader". Take a look at the two Factoids this month concerning pastoral leadership in growing churches. People are looking to you, not only for spiritual comfort and help through your sermons, but also for leadership.

How would you rate your leadership ability? Would you like to improve?

We at HighPower Resources want to help your church to be "Well Fed, and Well Led". We can help you with both of those goals.

Take a look at the resources, sermons and Bible Studies, as well as the speciality church software for you. Whether you need to track your small groups, print up church directories, fill vacant positions, or categorize your sermons, we have what you need.

Blessings as you minister in the name of Jesus!

A to Z Spiritual Gifts Bible Study and Inventory

"Spiritual Gifts"

The A to Z Spiritual Gifts Bible Study and Inventory is a complete solution to study, understand, and discover your spiritual gifts.

Take a look at these two Factoids:

Factoid #1: “The pastors in 26 percent of growing churches said that they were pacesetters to a very great extent, as compared to only 10 percent of the pastors in plateaued churches and 7 percent of the pastors of declining churches.” Source: ("Church Growth Principles", C. Kirk Hadaway, Nashville: Broadman Press, 1991, p. 84.)

Factoid #2: “Peter Wagner's statement, in America, the primary catalytic factor for church growth in a local church is the pastor. Lyle Schaller notes, pastoral leadership is a critical factor in church growth."” Source: ("Church Growth Principles", C. Kirk Hadaway, Nashville: Broadman Press, 1991, p. 74.)

These and other Factoids can be found at ChurchGrowth Factoids

Worst of Sinners -- Based on 1 Timothy 1:12-17. Before he became Paul, apostle and tireless missionary to the Gentiles, he was Saul of Tarsus, a zealous persecutor of Christians. Taking advantage of Paul's unsavory past, Satan pays his adversary a little visit in an effort to derail his ministry. Although Paul admits to being the "worst of sinners", he reminds Satan that Christ's mercy and forgiveness has freed him (and all believers) from the mistakes of the past. Read more…

HighPower Books

Book Review: "The Uncommon Church" – –by Pastor Pete Pawelek. Just finished reading a great book which just came out. The book is written by Pastor Pete Pawelek, who leads "The Cowboy Fellowship Church" in Pleasonton, TX. What’s great about this book is that it sets the bar high; it raises up a high standard for what the church of Jesus Christ could and should be. If every church in America followed the high Biblical calling of being an "uncommon church" as listed in this book, we would all be doing much better. The book is filled with Scriptures to tie in the themes to the author’s premise of being an uncommon church. And what I like about it is that he does not just reference the Scripture, but he actually quotes it in the book so that you can clearly see the relationship between the text and the Word of God. It’s a book that will give you hope once again, and help you to dream about who we could be in Christ as churches, if we would just folllow God’s high and holy calling. Read more…
