A Word from Bill
Dear Church Leader,
There is some important information in the the HighPower enews this month, which will impact your church health and growth and preaching.
First of all, check out the first Factoid from Rick Warren about preaching.
Rick is a master of explaining why and how. I’ve found that most churches do not focus much on the “how to” in their preaching. People need practical advice, so read the facade and think about how you may improve your preaching.
Second, check out the blog from Thom Schultz about “The Rise of the Done-with-Church Population”. It is very concerning, and requires some careful prayer and consideration.
We are here to provide you with the tools so that your church may be well fed and well led!
God’s best to you and your Church!

CHURCH GROWTH FACTOIDS:
Take a look at these two Factoids
Factoid #1: Rick Warren … gives wise advice for preachers when he says, “Tell them why; show them how. Most modern churchgoers require both explanation and application…. The ratio could be 50/50, maybe 60/40, but it rarely ought go beyond a 70/30 distribution. Source: (Anderson, Leith. A Church for the 21st Century. Minneapolis: Bethany House, 1992, p. 208.)
Factoid #2: Sixty-six percent of those with the gift of knowledge also have the gift of teaching – a particularly useful gift mix. Source: (Schwarz, Christian. The Three Colors of Ministry. St. Charles, IL: ChurchSmart Resources, 2001, p.107.)
