A Word from Bill

Dear Church Leader,

Our two Church Growth Factoids this month feature the on-going need for evangelism. I know that sometimes when we spend so much time in our Christian bubble, it can seem like much of our community is reached. But these factoids bring up the sobering statistic that there are many millions of people to reach. Every church has some responsibility to reach their "Jerusalem" (Acts 1:8).

We are here to help you by helping your church to be well fed and well led, by you. We can provide you tools to help to do your job better, whether that means guidance on quality sermon preparation, or software tools to keep the church organized and effective.

Blessings on you as you server Him!

Dr. Bill

  • Biblical Church Growth: Acts 2:42-47 -- Any church growth effort needs to be motivated by a desire to de-populate hell and transfer people from the Kingdom of Darkness into the Kingdom of Light (Colossians 1:13). That is, the desire for church growth should spur from a desire for conversion growth, not transfer growth. Read more..
  • Lead Yourself -- Growth is a process not an event. Someone has said that ‘The secret of lasting success is to grow up and not to go up’. How true! Unfortunately the option of growing up into success is not popular with majority. Many people’s approach and success drive in life is more of ‘going up’ than ‘growing up’ and this is responsible for the monumental crash and downfall of most people. Read more..

Book Review: "The Uncommon Church" – –by Pastor Pete Pawelek. Just finished reading a great book which just came out. The book is written by Pastor Pete Pawelek, who leads "The Cowboy Fellowship Church" in Pleasonton, TX. What’s great about this book is that it sets the bar high; it raises up a high standard for what the church of Jesus Christ could and should be. If every church in America followed the high Biblical calling of being an "uncommon church" as listed in this book, we would all be doing much better. The book is filled with Scriptures to tie in the themes to the author’s premise of being an uncommon church. And what I like about it is that he does not just reference the Scripture, but he actually quotes it in the book so that you can clearly see the relationship between the text and the Word of God. It’s a book that will give you hope once again, and help you to dream about who we could be in Christ as churches, if we would just folllow God’s high and holy calling. Read more…
