Arrows:
Most major screens in Shepherd have navigation arrows to allow you to move from record to record.
A counter just above the arrows will notify you which record you are on, and how many total records you have in either the Sheep or the Shepherd or the Flock lists.
When you click the navigation arrows, the first thing Shepherd will do is check to see if the records are sorted alphabetically. If they are not, it will first sort them, and then take you to either the Next or Previous record, depending upon which arrow you clicked. (You may notice at that time the counter number may shift as the records are sorted.)
If you hold down the Shift key will clicking on the navigation arrows, you will be taken to either the first or the last record, depending on which arrow you selected.
Tabs:
The left side of the Shepherd database provides vertical tabs which will take you to the four major screens of Shepherd database.
Flocks - all controls related to class creation, deletion, and tracking will be found here.
Shepherds - clicking on this tab causes the Shepherd software to do a quick search of everybody marked as a Shepherd, in the Sheep-Shepherd role dialogue box.
Sheep - - clicking on this tab causes the Shepherd software to do a quick search of everybody marked as a Sheep, in the Sheep-Shepherd role dialogue box.
