IMPORT/UPGRADE:

On the Preferences screen is a button which will allow you to import/upgrade to a new version of Shepherd.
Select the "Import/Upgrade" button from within the NEW copy of Shepherd Care Software. You will be asked to locate the folder containing your OLD copy of Shepherd. Once selected the import/upgrade process will take place. All of your records from your old copy of Shepherd will be imported into your new copy. Depending upon the number of records you have, this could take a little while, or be incredibly quick. Update dialogue boxes will alert you as to progress. You will be notified when the upgrade/import process is complete.

Your old copy of Shepherd will not be changed. It will continue to have all of your old records. It can be kept as an additional backup copy of your data.

The import/upgrade process will allow you to take advantage of additional features as the Shepherd Care Software is continuously updated. All "updates" (small, incremental improvements) are free to registered owners of Shepherd Care Software. "Upgrades" (major improvements & revisions) require an upgrade fee, which will be discounted for current owners of the Shepherd Care Software.
